...je comprends mieux pourquoi ces crétins ont dirigé le bateau vers la tempête au début du tome XIII. Ceci dit ils étaient bien conscients, cette fois-là, qu'ils allaient en baver. Comme quoi on apprend.

The orphans did not move. The sound did not stop.
"I'm afraid of it, anyway," Violet said.
"Me too," Klaus said.
"Geni," Sunny said, and began to crawl into the mouth of the cave. She probably meant something along the lines of "We didn't sail a stolen sailboat across Lake Lachrymose in the middle of Hurricane Herman just to stand nervously at the mouth of a cave," and her siblings had to agree with her and follow her inside.

Il y a un parallèle évident avec l'appréhension causée par la silhouette de Poe dans le premier chapitre du tome I. Cette fois-ci les orphelins admettent qu'ils ont peur, et foncent vers l'inconnu. Voire, plus tard, le Grand Inconnu.

La diatribe contre Joséphine est tellement jouissive à lire. Lemony et les enfants DÉTRUISENT cette vieille carne.
